FIRE IT UP
Last Saturday.1050cfs at Amboy, level to 1 inch above the "unit".

Safety and video provided by Sam Drevo of enrgkayaking(who are having a swift water safety class coming up inMarch).

Willie was also on hand to assist us and prep for the upcoming Canyon Creek Race April 12th. A variety of other pdx paddlers were available to provide assistance thus reinforcing the community philosophy of ORT and the support of the Portland whitewater boating community.

Pictures are worth a thousand words so I'll keep this short.

On this particular day our lines weren't always cleanbut the trip was safe. That's why you call it practice. Hard work has paid off as evidenced by the fact that 3 of our 4 paddlers (2-R2s) have been running rivers less than 3 years yet they were still solid through out the day especially given the adverse cirumstances/difficulty of going big in a raft at stout flows.

I am truly thankful and honored to compete and train with these men.
